Salvation Message

The Best Decision You Will Ever Make

(https://www.navigators.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/navtool-bridge.pdf)  Check out this link for an illustration of the Bridge Salvation tool. This is the tool shown to me when I was 18 years old that helped me make sense of the Gospel message. It is complete with Scripture.

Dear Reader, I am writing this in love.  I obviously do not know if you have Jesus in your heart as your Lord and Savior. The diagram above is what helped me to understand what Jesus did for me on the cross back when I was 18 years old and decided to dedicate my life to Him.  Before that I did not understand the big picture of why people went to church, prayed or read the Bible. I hope this illustration blesses you as well.

I am far from perfect or good (Romans 3:10) but I desire to live my life for Jesus.  I can honestly say that living for Jesus and choosing to try to trust Him in good and bad times, leaning into His Word (the Bible), choosing to trust that He cares about me and hears my prayers and choosing to obey Him even when it hurts or is confusing has been the biggest source of everlasting peace for me (John 14:27). I want everyone to know that peace and to live each day in faith that God has a bigger plan than what we can see and He deeply cares about each of us with a love so big we could never fully understand it (Ephesians 3:17). His love is perfect unlike any love on earth. And He wants to offer us the covering of His love and peace on this earth as well as the life to come (Psalm 91).

Do you know where you are going when your time on earth is done? If not, know that God is knocking on the door of your heart (Revelation 3:20). He knows your name (Isaiah 43:1) and He made you in your mothers’ womb (Psalm 139). He has good plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11) (Although sometimes they don’t feel so good they still are). There is nothing we can do to get rid of His love for us (Romans 8:38-39), we only need to accept the free gift of salvation and love Him back (which God says is to obey Him to the best of our ability). The longer I live the more I realize the things of this world are fleeting (Isaiah 40:8) and they can all change in a day or a minute, but God is always the same and nothing surprises Him (1 Peter 1:17). He makes a way when there is no way (Luke 1:37). He wants to protect us as His little children. He wants us to know Him so we can live on this earth and in eternity with His peace and joy in our hearts forever (Romans 15:13, Proverbs 10:28).

When I asked Jesus into my heart as my Lord and Savior at age 18 I had very little faith in Him (Matthew 17:20). I had just enough faith to ask Him to make Himself real to me if He existed (Mark 9:24). And He did. Over the years He has shown up countless times in a miracle of ways. He will do the same for you. Pray, read the Bible, listen for His voice, obey Him, fellowship with other believers…be at peace.

Julie
